What is Basic Life Support?

Basic Life Support (BLS) is the recognition and initial intervention or treatment given by pre-hospital or in-facility responders to a patient suffering from cardiac arrest or respiratory arrest.

This course teaches the important steps to perform a rapid assessment, Basic Life Support (BLS) skills, and rapid defibrillation including the use of an Automated External Defibrillator (AED).
