Program Overview
Our Web Development Diploma Program will teach you the essentials to successfully build and develop highly functional websites. Students will be introduced to coding by learning the basics of HTML/CSS, Javascript, Python and so much more.

Work-Study Program
The main purpose of our Web Development Work Study Program is to provide students with an opportunity to define and analyze a problem, present their analytical findings and develop solutions. This opportunity enables students to develop and refine their professional skills and experience.
Integrating and extending professional practice knowledge and skills gained in the program, students will develop a critical understanding of their personal and professional strengths and limitations. Students must expect some changes to their initial plans. There will invariably be challenges along the way, and they must be flexible and adaptable.

Admission Requirements
- 18 years of age or older.
- Assessment: Online or In-person Counselling
- Result to Prove English Proficiency:
- IELTS (Academic) – 6.0 overall
- IELTS (General) – 6.0 overall with each band 6.0
- PTE (Academic) – 51 overall
- TOEFL IBT – 60 overall
- CELPIP – 7 overall with each band 7
- In the absence of the above ESL required.
- Secondary or Post Secondary Degree Diploma.
Learning Outcomes
- Explain the types of business transactions conducted on a commercial website and the process for development of such transactions.
- Prepare and present a proposal and a business plan for a commercial website.
- Implement a website solution based on a set of business requirements or client specifications.
- Create a complete content management system using a database and scripting language.
- Develop data-driven websites for multiple platforms in accordance with best practices, industry standards in content management, security, database design, interface design, usability, accessibility and personalization.
- Design and develop web services for a website using software programs.
- Design a full featured functioning commercial website using software programs, including a defined information architecture that is supported by navigation, layout, text and graphics.
- Manage web development projects using project management practices, documentation and software.
- Test, troubleshoot and debug software created in the web projects.
- Develop web projects as a leader or member of a web development team.
Job Responsibilities
- Develop responsive and user-friendly websites, ensuring seamless functionality across various devices and browsers.
- Implement front-end design elements, including layouts, navigation, and interactive features, to enhance user experience.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather project requirements and provide technical expertise in web development projects.
- Debug and troubleshoot website issues, ensuring optimal site performance and functionality.
- Stay updated with emerging web technologies and trends to integrate innovative solutions into projects.
- Optimize web content and assets for speed, SEO, and accessibility compliance, enhancing website visibility.
- Maintain web security by implementing best practices and safeguarding against potential threats.
- Customize and integrate content management systems (CMS) to empower clients with site management capabilities.
- Create and maintain documentation for websites, including code, APIs, and project progress reports.
- Provide end-user support, training, and guidance to ensure clients can effectively manage and update their websites.
