    Program Overview

The Carpenter Certification Program is a modular, Red Seal–aligned training course designed to prepare students for a versatile and rewarding career in the skilled trades. Carpenters are vital to the construction industry, working on everything from residential housing and commercial buildings to infrastructure projects and interior renovations.

This hands-on program covers essential skills in blueprint reading, framing, formwork, interior finishing, and construction safety. Students learn how to use both hand and power tools, follow building codes, interpret technical drawings, and construct structures with precision and efficiency. Emphasis is placed on working safely, efficiently, and to code on active job sites.

Graduates of this program will be well-equipped to pursue Red Seal Certification in the Carpentry trade. This nationally recognized credential validates a high level of skill and enables tradespeople to work across provinces, access better employment opportunities, and take on supervisory roles in the construction industry.
