    Program Overview

The Truck Trailer Service Technician Certification Program is a modular, Red Seal–aligned training course designed to provide students with the mechanical knowledge, practical skills, and diagnostic expertise necessary to inspect, service, and repair commercial truck trailers of all types. From flatbeds and refrigerated trailers to tankers and specialized haulers, this trade plays a vital role in keeping Canada’s freight and logistics industry moving.

As long-haul transportation remains the backbone of Canada’s supply chain, there is a growing demand for qualified trailer technicians who can ensure the safety, performance, and regulatory compliance of these vehicles. This program delivers comprehensive training that spans everything from preventative maintenance, tire and brake systems, and electrical diagnostics, to more advanced areas such as refrigeration units, hydraulic systems, welding, and industry regulations.

By completing this program, students will be well-prepared to challenge the Red Seal Certification exam in the Truck Trailer Service Technician trade. This nationally recognized credential not only validates their skills but also provides enhanced employment opportunities, higher earning potential, and the ability to work across provinces as certified tradespeople in one of Canada’s most essential industries.
