The Welding certification program combines classroom instruction with extensive hands-on shop training will help you become a welder. You’ll work directly with welding tools, machines, and materials to build your practical skills in welder training. Each level integrates theory and application—ensuring you graduate with confidence and the ability to perform professional welding tasks safely and effectively.
Completing the Welding Program opens doors to diverse roles such as Apprentice Welder, Fabrication Welder, Industrial Maintenance Welder, or Welding Technician. It also prepares you for welding certification exams for AWS welding certification and future advancement in specialized or supervisory roles.

The Welding Course at Futures Canadian College prepares students with both theoretical and practical training in welding processes, safety, and blueprint reading. Students develop the ability to work with various welding techniques and materials used in modern construction and industrial settings.
Course Length: 3 Modules | Total 118.5 hours – (39.5 hours per level)
Campus Hours: Mondays–Fridays / Saturdays – 10:00 AM – 2:00 PM

• Learn welding history, SMAW, GMAW, GTAW welding classifications, and modern applications.
• Understand and apply electrical theory for welding tools and equipments and
welding safety protocols.
• Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and schematics.
• Install, maintain, and troubleshoot electrical wiring and circuits.
• Work with industrial and residential electrical systems and learn welding
techniques for stainless steel and aluminum.
• Apply Canadian Electrical Code standards in all installations.
• Program and configure Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs).
• Perform electrical maintenance and repair on various control systems.
• Prepare for Red Seal Certification for Red Seal trades and professionals.

Students train in a fully equipped welding lab, handling real projects that reflect industry conditions. This hands–on practice ensures graduates develop precision, speed, andconfidence in their welding abilities.
The program follows Canadian welding standards, ensuring students acquire skills that
meet employer and certification requirements with precise use of oxy–fuel cutting and PPE
for welders. The course is planned for welding courses for international students as well.
Students receive preparation for welding certification exams and career development guidance to help them transition successfully into the workforce after welder training will help find welding jobs in Canada especially in trade schools Ontario.

Age: Minimum 18 years
Education: Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD) or equivalent
Language Proficiency: CLB Level 6 or IELTS 5.5 (or equivalent)
Experience: Interest in welding, metalwork, or manufacturing. Prior shop or technical experience is an asset.
