    Developmental Services Worker Diploma Overview

    The Developmental Services Worker Diploma at Futures provides the foundational skills and applied training required to support individuals with developmental challenges in various settings. Students will engage in learning modules covering ethics, disabilities, behavior support, communication, community inclusion, field placements, and professional development.

    By graduation, you will compile a professional portfolio including support plans, observation records, activity analyses, placement reflections and performance feedback—ready for prospective employers.

    Entry Requirements

    To join the program, candidates must meet the following criteria:

    Age: Minimum 18 years

    Education: Secondary school diploma or equivalent. Post Secondary diploma, degree with a minimum GPA of 60% (if applicable)

    Interview: Online or in-person interview

    Language Proficiency: IELTS 6.0 / PTE / TOEFL equivalent (for international applicants)

    Technical & Physical Requirements: Basic computer literacy; readiness for placement requirements including clear criminal/vulnerable sector check, immunizations, first aid/CPR may be required

    Certificates & Degree: Certificates or degrees earned from another country must be assessed by any of the following institutions- World Education Services (www.wes.org/ca) International Credential Assessment Service (www.icascanada.ca)
