In our Immigration Assistant Course, you will:

    • Understand Canada’s immigration system, visa types, and policy framework.
    • Learn the structure and purpose of IRCC and related government bodies.
    • Support immigration professionals by organizing documentation and case files.
    • Communicate effectively with clients regarding requirements and timelines.
    • Apply ethical and professional standards in all immigration practices.
    • Gain confidence in handling applications for temporary and permanent residency.
    • Build the administrative and digital skills needed for immigration office settings.

    Real World Readiness

    Practical Casework Experience

Students work on realistic, instructor-supervised case simulations that mirror everyday tasks in immigration offices. Exercises include preparing visitor, study and work permit applications, compiling PR/Express Entry files, drafting client correspondence, completing checklist audits, and responding to common IRCC requests. These hands-on activities build procedural confidence and reduce the onboarding time employers require.

    Client Communication & Roleplay

Through roleplays and mock appointments, learners develop client intake, interview, and communication skills — including plain-language explanations, confidentiality best practices, and culturally sensitive service. These sessions build the interpersonal competencies employers expect from entry-level staff.

    Career Preparation Support

Students receive targeted employability coaching including resume and cover-letter writing tailored to immigration roles, interview preparation, portfolio development (including a capstone case file), and job search strategies. Graduates leave with both a demonstrable work portfolio and the practical skills to step directly into administrative roles in the immigration sector.
