    Welding Program Course Overview

    The Welding Course at Futures Canadian College prepares students with both theoretical and practical training in welding processes, safety, and blueprint reading. Students develop the ability to work with various welding techniques and materials used in modern construction and industrial settings.

    Duration & Schedule

    Course Length: 3 Modules | Total 118.5 hours – (39.5 hours per level)

     

    Campus Hours: Mondays–Fridays / Saturdays – 10:00 AM – 2:00 PM

     

    Mode of Learning: In-class / Lab-based Training

     

    Students: Domestic & International

    · Small Cohorts: 10–15 students per class for personalized instruction

    Learning Objectives

    In our Welding Certification Course, you will:

    Learn welding history, SMAW, GMAW, GTAW welding classifications, and modern applications.
    Understand and apply electrical theory for welding tools and equipments and
    welding safety protocols.

    Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and schematics.
    Install, maintain, and troubleshoot electrical wiring and circuits.
    Work with industrial and residential electrical systems and learn welding
    techniques for stainless steel and aluminum.

    Apply Canadian Electrical Code standards in all installations.
    Program and configure Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs).
    Perform electrical maintenance and repair on various control systems.
    Prepare for Red Seal Certification for Red Seal trades and professionals.

    meet employer and certification requirements with precise use of oxyfuel cutting and PPE
    for welders. The course is planned for welding courses for international students as well.

    Entry Requirements

    To join the course, applicants must meet the following criteria:

    Age: Minimum 18 years
    Education: Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD) or equivalent

    Language Proficiency: CLB Level 6 or IELTS 5.5 (or equivalent)

    Experience: Interest in welding, metalwork, or manufacturing. Prior shop or technical experience is an asset.
